The Hogs took to the field overnight in pouring rain and played two games, scores not remembered, with an intermission at Taco Mac at midnight.
East Cobb raised $2,069 for our veterans, while the whole event has stacked up $29,500 so far (still not over...)
Next event is this coming weekend, we'll host a round robin... sticks in a pile, poorly officiated... at Kell.

East Cobb is playing in this weekend's 2nd Annual Shootout for Soldiers Atlanta, held at Kennesaw Mountain High School. Shootout for Soldiers is a 24 hour lacrosse event benefiting American veterans, with proceeds going to top-rated charities supporting veterans such as the Gary Sinise Foundation, Semper Fi Fund, Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund and Team RWB.
The Hogs will take the field at 11:00 PM, Saturday, May 20 vs. the Zero Dark :30s and 2:00 AM Sunday vs. the Owls Deep. After the laxcross the squad will probably crash the nearest Waffle House.
We are very pleased to report that we've more than doubled last year's fundraising, now at over $1,700, and are the fourth highest group in terms of donations this year (so far). Here's our team link if you'd like to donate to this very great cause. Team donation page here.

Great tournament, excellent times in Pensacola!
Hogs fought to the last minute - tied with less than 1:00 to go in the championship game and Pensacola's "A" squad scored. Couldn't be more proud of how the squad played and showed up - the Riptide gave us serious props for our play and enjoyed hosting the club.
9-8 was the final.

The Hogs took to the field at Kell and attempted an organized 7s tournament against ourselves. The prize: Beer and the Godzilla/Garden Gnome Attack Trophy.
We welcomed a ton of new Hogs: Ben Mertz, Midfield (GT), Danny Coughlin, Defense (GT), Spencer Pursley, Defense, (War Eagle), Tyler Stellwag, Midfield, (War Eagle), TJ Smith, Midfield, (Wittenberg), Eddie Kovel, Midfield (Emory).
Your tournament contenders: Tune Squad, led by Capt. Gerber. BigCat's Pride, led by Capt. Isaiah "BigCat" Sims and Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Men, led by Capt. Chris Keating. We even had 5 or 6 fans in the stands at Kell. Thank you, fans.
